Keep it Simple

In the winter, it's hard to not expose the brace with all the bundling and staying warm. But if you keep it simple you may find that it's easier to hide the brace. You don't need to wear a bunch of layers to stay warm and not expose the brace. Something simple will serve the purpose just as well. Keep in mind that going too simple will expose the brace more than layering too much. Simple is the key to winter with the brace.

That One Time...

That one time when I don't have to wear a brace.  These opportunities are few and far between.  I'm attending a 1D concert next Sunday.  My mom said it's okay if I don't wear my brace to the concert.  I went shopping today, got some cute stuff.

Layering and Sizes

The key to fashion with scoliosis is layering. You need quite a few tanktops to wear under a shirt if you don't want anyone to see your brace. It may get hot in the summer,  which is when you could start wearing camis. They have spaghetti straps and come in many different colors.

If you don't want to layer,  you could buy shirts that are one size bigger.  It might show your brace under your arms, so you should wear a breezy cardigan or vest to cover that if wanted.

Fashion for Scoliosis and an Annoying Brace.

Ugh! I have to wear a brace, for like, ever. Ok, maybe not ever but until I hit my growth spurt. That is insane, unfair, and SO uncomfortable. I can choose to hate this experience, complain all the time, all day and night OR I can convince my mom and dad that I need MORE clothes!!!! I choose the latter!
I play club volleyball, basketball for fun, run for fun. I can do anything even though I have a brace. I can do FASHION better because of my brace. I want to help girls with my problem get through this. Together we are going to become a global fashion phenomenon. From high end to low end, fashion doesn't make us. We Make Fashion, the curved and twisted way!!
